OVER 40 ALPHA TRANSFORMATION:
SARF GULZAR
We turn on the spotlight to our 48-year-old brother from the UK. He is 18 months in the O40A and put in so much effort and hard work!
He has shown progress through the phases and the challenges. Such a pro!
Loud cheers for our brother, Sarf Gulzar!
Check out his awesome story…
“My life before O40A, during my youth just like all the other brothers and sisters I was very active, I enjoyed playing football and going to the gym.
Injuries meant I could not play anymore until I received surgery so I started mountain biking.
I did this until I had my surgery and then attempted to play again but I got injured again. I then joined a martial arts gym and took up kickboxing, which I loved as it wasn't just about learning a martial art or keeping fit.
It was like the O40A, you trained with a family.
Unfortunately, I hurt my back in my early forties which meant I could not continue so I just focused on keeping fit.
I used to do quite a few of Funk's workouts.
My diet was ok …I ate protein, carbs, and veg in pretty much every meal but I always knew something was missing on the plate (I was right, fats!).
I have always managed to keep in pretty good shape but after I hurt my back I struggled to motivate myself like I used to.
Even though I exercised regularly I still felt demotivated.
I felt I could train better.”
“I joined the 040A program in May 2020 as I saw the 040A Shred program and thought for $1 it's too good to be true.
I now know it is too good to be true as nearly 18 months on I am still here, motivated!!
I know that every morning when I wake up one of my brothers or sister has worked out already!!
That motivates me to get out of bed and GET IT DONE.
I have a balanced plate of food at every meal, I will admit my diet fluctuates between 70 to 90% but I am OK with that as I know it will improve.
I'm not one to weigh myself now as I used to be a hard gainer who used to do that every other day.
I used to find it demoralizing so now I just focus on how I feel and I feel good.
My sleep is still not the best but again it's something I am looking to improve, I am trying to be 1% better every day.
This week I have started PH15 and it's not easy but I know I will get better (1% folks!!)
Last year was one of the toughest in my life due to personal issues but my workouts kept me sane.
My biggest fan is my mother who keeps tabs on how I am doing and how quickly I complete my daily walks!!
My family sees me working out, eating healthy meals, and hopefully will learning good habits.
They are my why!”
“My advice to anyone who is starting is simple, trust the process!
Funk and Angela are experts in their respective fields.
They have put together amazing workouts for us, all we have to do is follow them. It is hard but it couldn’t be any easier!!
Finally, I just want to say a massive thank you to Funk, Angela, their team as well as all of my brothers and sisters for just being awesome!”
